Marinara Sauce Recipe

by Sonia on April 27, 2011

Marinara sauce is from Italy, very simple and quick to prepare and is served with all types/shapes of pasta. There are many variations on the ingredients of marinara sauce and other ingredients that you may find in recipes are mushroom, roasted red bell pepper, roasted garlic, caramelised onion, carrots, sugar, white wine and many more…

Marinara sauce is a tomato-based sauce served with pasta that contains other key ingredients such as garlic, olive oil and fresh herbs. The sauce can be prepared in around 15 to 30 minutes, although if you can make it ahead the day before you are planning on serving it. Once cooked your marinara sauce, it can be served immediately or stored for up to 5 days in the refrigerator or you can freeze it well until needed.
